HERE’S A LITTLE TASTE OF WINGING IT BOOK TWO

There’s more to my travels in the Far East than what you read in Winging It Book One! That’s why I’m thrilled to announce a second book is on its way. I hope you enjoyed my adventure so far and that you’re just as excited for this next journey. Thank you for your support, and here’s a little sneak peek of what’s to come – let the adventure continue!

MY FILIPINO FAMILY

I had a fun time in the Philippines, especially because of the hospitality of the locals.

Southeast Asia has some of the most beautiful beaches!

My first tropical island

This is a photo of me, dancing on the “part-time” white island off the coast of Camiguin. I say part-time because this C shaped island was almost completely submerged at high tide which meant that very little grew here and no one built on it. But it was surrounded by the most amazing coral beds I had ever seen! I would park my boat, jump out , and spend the whole day face down in the water immersing myself in the underwater splendor. I befriended clown fish, parrot fish, trigger fish, and even a moray eel! I became one with the denizens around the island.

Tweety Bird?

Here is a picture of a wild bird that would come and sit on my railing everytime I tried to play guitar! I was not very good, so I cannot attribute it to the beauty of what I was playing. Who can know what a wild creature is thinking? But it certainly made me feel loved and appreciated – as well as special. I have always had an unusual relationship with birds….

Jan and Lia

See that glow in the dark smile? This is the German man I fell head over heals for in Tokyo. After my two month trip home, I flew all the way back to the Philippines just to be with him …. Here we are on the beautiful beaches of Boracay.

Some fun photos!

I almost never experimented with illicit substances in high school, college or any place else on my trip. What was it about Koh Samui that opened me up to try such things? There was a powerful sense of heightened spiritual energy here. I felt that I could connect to it more deeply by ingesting psychedelics and I felt safe doing so. I am so glad I did.

Magic Mushrooms

This was on Koh Samui – one of the most magical islands I visited. While there, I healed from Heberden Nodes (a form of arthritis in the hands). I ended up taking mushrooms quite a few times during my two month stay). The experiences were Carlos Castaneda-ian. They connected me deeply to the earth or allowed me to be aware of my already intense connections (but I did not understand that then). They also connected me to different life forms, including a dog that asked me to follow him for quite an adventure!

Life in Kathmandu

Picture in the photo below are Wahei and I in my room in Kathmandu. We found a wild patch of marijuana growing next to the train tracks which Wahei harvested and dried. Unfortunately the only thing it gave me was a headache! LOL, it must have been THC-less hemp. Back then no one made such distinctions.  We had fun anyway!

Home sweet home

Here I am in my own room on Koh Samui!  My front door was literally fifteen feet from the ocean in a direct line of sight! It was paradise. I lived here for two months by myself, doing mushrooms by day, and enjoying the nightlife in the evening.

View from my door

If you didn’t find the inside of my bungalow inviting — take a look at the view out my door!

Watch out for Book 2 – more details coming soon!
